Permanent Makeup

Now you can have them! We are thrilled to announce that Amy has relocated her studio in Manhattan, where she has developed a world-class following including many celebrities over the past 15 years, to our office in Raleigh, NC! Now her services are available right here in the Triangle. Amy performs micropigmentation, better known as permanent makeup, and has become well known for her eyebrow shaping. This is not your mother's permanent makeup with the obvious lip liner or the eyebrows that look penciled in. This is a totally different experience. Botox

 Do you have lines and wrinkles you could do without? Ever wondered about Botox? We have a tremendous amount of experience with the use of botox. Botox is a safe, popular, non-surgical injection performed in our office that temporarily reduces or eliminates frown lines between the eyes, forehead creases, crows feet near the eyes, and thick bands in the neck. Botox relaxes the muscles that cause wrinkles while giving the skin a smoother, more relaxed and refreshed appearance. Botox begins to work in about three to four days, and results typically last for three to four months with the most common side effect being minor, temporary bruising at the injection site. Botox is powerful, simple and effective and really there is nothing else that can compare to the results of botox.

Juvederm

Botox is great for getting rid of wrinkles but for those areas that need more volume than a 'filler' is what is needed to smooth areas of facial contour that make you look tired and old. Juvederm is a hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler. It is very different from Botox as “fillers” are used to plump and restore volume in areas that have lost volume due to aging, and work beautifully in conjunction with Botox to rejuvenate the face. Fillers are most commonly used to improve facial wrinkles and folds including the nasolabial folds (smile lines). Dr Schwarz also uses fillers for lip augmentation where he can create more voluptuous, and naturally full lips. Longevity of dermal fillers is variable from patient to patient but typical results last 12 months.

Radiesse

Radiesse is another type of filler that Dr Schwarz also uses in the right location in the right patient. It is a little thicker than Juvederm and, maybe of most benefit, Radiesse can increase your own collagen. What does this mean? Results that can be long lasting as Radiesse can stimulate your body's own healing mechanisms to build up collagen in areas that are deficient because of age. Dr Schwarz uses Radiesse to reshape and build cheek volume, get rid of smile lines and reshape the jowls. Chemical Peels

Chemical peels have been used for a long time to change skin quality--because they work. We use chemical peels (TCA, Jessner's, VIPeels, Salicyclic Acid, Glycolic Acid etc) as an adjunct to our lines of skin care. That is, get on a one of our skin care lines, change your skin, and then use a peel for dramatic results. Our stronger peels have a week downtime so you have to work them into your schedule, but the results are amazing. We can even out the tone of your skin, minimize fine lines and make your skin more taught. Have brown spots or a dirty look to your skin? We can change that. Again, these are not services that temporarily make your skin look better, but provide the changes needed to your skin that will keep your skin healthy for a long time.

We offer many different peels ranging from mild peels, which are best repeated at intervals throughout the year, to more aggressive one time peels that offer dramatic results with a little more down time.
